Programme terms

These terms explain the basis on which LearnForWork UK accepts learners and delivers its online programmes.

1. About us

LearnForWork UK is operated by Edutainment Ontop UK, 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, United Kingdom. You can contact us on +44 (0) 7419 8181 06.

2. Applications and entry

We may require an English level assessment before confirming a course where placement or readiness matters. The assessment may include online Reading and Writing followed by a Speaking and Listening session with a tutor. Any online score is preliminary until the relevant work has been reviewed. Completing an assessment does not guarantee a place. Enrolment is confirmed only when we issue confirmation and any required payment has been accepted.

3. Programme information

Before enrolment, we will make available the programme description, delivery format, expected study commitment, current fees and available payment arrangements. Module availability, external certification requirements and cohort dates may change. Material changes affecting an enrolled learner will be communicated as soon as reasonably possible.

4. Fees and payment

The coding and cyber-security programme currently offers the payment options shown on the fees section. Instalment totals may be higher than the pay-in-full price. Any additional application fee, assessment fee or external examination fee must be disclosed before the relevant payment becomes due.

The IELTS preparation course is £180 for six weeks. The IELTS examination fee applicable in the learner’s country is additional and is normally paid separately to the relevant external test provider unless we expressly confirm otherwise in writing.

If an instalment is missed, we may contact you, pause access or agree a reasonable repayment arrangement. We will not demand an undisclosed fee.

5. Your right to cancel

If you purchase a programme online as a consumer, you will normally have a legal right to cancel within 14 days from the day after the contract is made, subject to applicable exceptions. You do not need to give a reason.

To cancel, send a clear statement by post to the address above or contact us using the details on the contact page. Include your name, programme and enrolment date so we can identify your account.

If you ask us to begin providing services during the cancellation period and then cancel, we may be entitled to charge a proportionate amount for services supplied before cancellation. If a digital service is fully performed during that period following the legally required request and acknowledgement, cancellation rights may be affected. We will explain this before early performance begins.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK consumer law.

6. Refunds outside the cancellation period

Refunds requested after the statutory cancellation period will be considered in accordance with these terms, the circumstances and applicable consumer law. If we cancel a programme and cannot offer a reasonable alternative, we will refund fees paid for the undelivered part.

7. Learner responsibilities

Learners are expected to attend scheduled sessions, complete agreed work, communicate respectfully, protect account credentials and follow reasonable platform and assessment rules. You are responsible for access to a suitable device and internet connection unless we agree otherwise in writing.

8. Teaching, support and employment outcomes

We aim to provide the teaching and support described in your enrolment information. Career preparation and placement support do not constitute a guarantee of employment, interview, salary or promotion. Outcomes depend on learner participation, employer decisions and labour-market conditions.

9. External services and certification

Some learning, assessment, certification or payment services may be provided through third parties. Our partnership with the Institut Supérieur des Innovations et des Métiers (ISIM) may include local student access, in-person assessment or programme support in Yaoundé. External providers may apply their own eligibility, assessment, identity and resit rules. We will identify material third-party requirements relevant to your pathway.

10. Intellectual property

Course materials are supplied for your personal learning use. Unless permission is given, you must not copy, publish, sell or distribute substantial parts of the materials. You retain ownership of original work you create, subject to any third-party tools or materials incorporated into it.

11. Availability and changes

We may make reasonable changes to tutors, schedules, platforms or content where necessary to maintain delivery, respond to external requirements or improve the programme. We will consider the impact on learners and communicate material changes.

12. Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made or for business losses arising from a consumer contract.

13. Complaints

If you are dissatisfied, contact us promptly with the details and the outcome you are seeking. We will acknowledge and review the complaint and aim to respond within a reasonable period.

14. Personal information

We use personal information as described in our privacy notice.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any applicable mandatory consumer protections and may be entitled to bring proceedings in your local courts.
